In 2021, TFEL sponsored a national study to inform the development of sustainable field education models. As part of the larger national research project, Atlantic Canada Discoveries – Promising and Wide Practices in Field Education addresses the study design and explores the findings, research themes, promising and wise practices, and challenges within Atlantic Canada. The report then examines the implications for regional and national social work field education. In completing this aspect of the national study, the researchers recognize the unique geographic and social context of Atlantic Canada.
