The Stingray: Opening New Pathways to Healing and Growth through Alternative and Holistic Social Work Methods

Adrienne Moya, an MSW student at the University of Northern British Columbia, completed this research paper on her practicum experience and her exploration of how clinical social work practitioners achieve holistic practice in counselling settings. This included alternative methods that are incorporated into clinical practice to align with holistic aims and attend to the mind, body, and spirit of the client. The stingray, on the second page of this report, serves as a symbol for the potential within alternative and arts-based approaches.
