TFEL Webinar: “Field Instructorship and Supervision – A Panel Discussion”

This webinar will feature four field instructors, who will share their experiences, triumphs, and challenges of supporting social work students through field education.
To enhance students understanding of field instructorship, TFEL has organized a panel discussion of practicing social workers, with experience of supervising students, to share their experiences as field instructors.
Panelists, consisting of new and experienced field instructors, will share their learning, challenges and insights into what it takes to support a social work student through field education, how to find a balance between typical role responsibilities and student supervision, and what prompted them to consider field instructorship as a part of their practice. Additionally, panelists will explore the role of mentorship in field education and the profession’s dedication to lifelong learning.
This webinar will occur on Thursday, February 25th from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm MST / 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm EST.

Ce webinaire mettra en vedette quatre instructeurs de terrain, qui partageront leurs expériences, leurs triomphes et les défis du soutien aux étudiants en travail social grâce à une formation sur le terrain.
Pour améliorer la compréhension des étudiants sur l’enseignement de terrain, TFEL a organisé une table ronde de travailleurs sociaux en exercice, avec une expérience de supervision d’étudiants, pour partager leurs expériences en tant qu’instructeurs de terrain.
Les panélistes, composés d’instructeurs de terrain nouveaux et expérimentés, partageront leurs apprentissages, leurs défis et leurs points de vue sur ce qu’il faut pour soutenir un étudiant en travail social à travers l’éducation sur le terrain, comment trouver un équilibre entre les responsabilités de rôle typiques et la supervision des étudiants, et ce qui les a incités considèrent l’enseignement sur le terrain comme faisant partie de leur pratique. De plus, les panélistes exploreront le rôle du mentorat dans l’éducation sur le terrain et le dévouement de la profession à l’apprentissage tout au long de la vie.
Ce webinaire aura lieu le Jeudi 25 Février de 12h00 à 13h00 HNR / 14h00 à 15h00 HNE.
